Create a server
Your sites run on your own server: its memory and CPU aren’t shared with other customers’ sites. One server can hold several sites.
Create it
Section titled “Create it”- In the dashboard, go to Servers and click New server.
- Give it a name you’ll recognize, like “Web 1”.
- Choose a size and a location. Pick the location closest to most of your visitors.
- Click Create server. If a free trial is offered, the dialog says how long it lasts; you add a card at checkout and can cancel anytime.
Setting up takes about 6 to 8 minutes: the server is installed, secured and tuned for its size. You can leave the page; it carries on without you.
Which size?
Section titled “Which size?”| Size | Memory | Up to | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 1 GB | 3 sites | One small store, or a few small sites |
| Small | 2 GB | 7 sites | Several sites, or a busier store |
| Medium | 4 GB | 11 sites | Many sites, or a few busy stores |
| Large | 8 GB | 25 sites | Lots of sites, or large busy stores |
These limits come from load tests with real WordPress stores and brochure sites. Heavier sites (big page builders, WooCommerce with many plugins) use more, so a server can be nearly full with fewer sites; the dashboard tells you when that happens.
You can move to a larger server later from its Settings tab, under Server size. The sites go offline for a few minutes while it restarts.
